By Road
Zermatt is a car free zone. To drive you must book parking in nearby Täsch and take the shuttle train or licensed taxi to Zermatt.
From Geneva take the A9, or from Zurich either the A1 or Route 19 to Visp. From Visp take the valley road toward Zermatt to Täsch.
By Rail
Trains from both Geneva and Zurich are comfortable and straightforward with one (sometime two) changes – the last being at Visp which takes you direct to Zermatt where panorama Ski Lodge will greet you (with prior arrangement).
